Health and Wellness Programs

Our Health and Wellness program is developed and implemented around the eight dimensions of wellness. This provides students with a holistic approach to their wellness. Discover upcoming health and wellness programs!

The Eight Dimensions of Wellness:

  1. Emotional – The ability to cope effectively with life and creating satisfying relationships.
  2. Environmental – Experiencing good health by being engaged in pleasant, stimulating environments that support one’s mental well-being.
  3. Financial – The feeling of being satisfied with one’s current and future financial situations.
  4. Intellectual – The ability to recognize one’s creative abilities and being able to expand knowledge and skills.
  5. Occupational – Personal satisfaction and enrichment with one’s work.
  6. Physical – Recognizing the importance and need for physical activity, healthy foods, and sleep.
  7. Social – Having a sense of connection, belonging, and a well-developed support system.
  8. Spiritual – Expanding one’s sense of purpose and meaning in life.

Peer Health Educators (PHE’s) are here to support all of your holistic wellness needs, from navigating a difficult class to finding your ideal means of self-care. JED Campus Program

Scripps College has joined The JED Campus Program (Campus Program), a nationwide initiative of The Jed Foundation (JED) designed to guide schools through a collaborative process of comprehensive systems, program, and policy development with customized support to build upon existing student mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention efforts.
