Resident Advisor Selection and Training

Resident Advisor Selection and Training

Becoming a student leader, in particular, a Resident Advisor (RA) can be one of the most meaningful parts of your college experience. You have the opportunity to create relationships with residents from around the world in our unique community to help form their Scripps experience. RAs create community on campus through forming relationships with one another, developing critical thinking skills, and learning more about themselves. Additionally, they develop and attain transferable skills that will help them far beyond the RA role. The following information serves to give you more insight into the selection process and formal RA training process within Scripps Residential Life should you apply and be offered a position as a Resident Advisor.

The RA application and selection process runs from December 2016 – February 2017 for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The RA Selection Process is a multi-step process. The following RA Selection page will provide further information about what this process entails.

Find out more about the training topics and additional training opportunities involved in being an RA on the RA Training page.
