To ensure we can provide you a meaningful residential experience, we need to know a few things about you. The information you provide will be used to match you with other incoming students who have similar responses. We ask that you complete the questionnaire honesty and representative of who you are now, not who you aspire to be (i.e. if you do not keep your room neat at home, it’s likely that won’t change when you get to college). The deadline for submission is Friday, July 6, 2018.
Fall 2018 New Student Move-in Information
Residence halls open for new students on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, beginning at 7am. More information related to move-in day will be posted in the coming weeks. Check back soon.
Spring 2019 Move-in Information
The residence halls open for returning students on Sunday, January 20, 2019 beginning at 10am.
We want you to feel comfortable and “at home” in your room at Scripps. Click the link for helpful tips on what to bring and not to bring to assist in your college housing transition.
Each residence hall has a with a laundry room, equipped with washers and dryers. Laundry services is $1.00 for washers and 50 cents for dryers. Our machines are not coin operated. All students should add money (i.e. Claremont Cash) to their student ID to access in-hall laundry services.
Claremont Cash can be used to purchase both food and non-food items throughout The Claremont Colleges, as well as local merchants in and around Claremont. All students, faculty and staff of The Claremont Colleges have a Claremont Cash account established as soon as their ID card is created. Funds may be deposited to accounts online.
Students bringing cars to campus are strongly encouraged to register their vehicle with Campus Safety. Visit the Campus Safety website to learn more about the process.
