Water Conservation project update
Posted: March 17, 2015
With the success of the water conservation project on Platt Boulevard last summer, the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the Board of Trustee has approved several lawn removal projects on campus to support for water conservation in California and sustainability. For each project, lawn will be removed, irrigation will be modified to a low water use system and drought tolerant plants will be planted. The state of California is still offering a rebate program for lawn removal. The College will take advantage of this opportunity to support additional improvements for outdoor seating and gathering areas. We look forward to your support as we take important steps on being more sustainable with our landscape. Future emails will be sent out with more information as we begin each project.
Please feel free to email Grounds@Scrippscollege.edu for any questions.
