Everyone’s a winner. All CMS teams won games this week.
The Athenas Water Polo team had two wins last week, 6-5 at Redlands last Wednesday and 10-6 win over Whittier on Saturday. The teams has won six of their last seven matches. The team is now 12-13 overall and in first place in SCIAC at 6-0.
Women’s Softball went 4-0 last week with wins at Pomona-Pitzer on Friday and at home against Occidental on Saturday. CMS will close out the SCIAC regular season with a doubleheader against Redlands at 11 a.m. at home on Friday and a doubleheader at Chapman beginning at noon Saturday. The Athenas are 26-10 overall and in second place in SCIAC at 18-6.
Tennis had a 5-4 win over Cal State L.A. at home on Saturday, making the weekend 3-0 for the Athenas, and preserving their perfect record on the season. The Athenas also earned conference wins, 8-1 at Chapman on Friday and a 9-0 victory over Whittier at home on Saturday. CMS is now 23-0 overall and in first place in SCIAC at 7-0.
CMS Golf played on Friday at Empire Lakes Golf Course in Rancho Cucamonga. Sophomore Shaina Raskin ‘15 shot a 4-over, 76 to finish in first as the Athenas finished ahead of Occidental to secure a tri-match win. The Athenas are preparing for the SCIAC Championships on April 27-29 at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont.
Women’s Track and Field won the Pomona-Pitzer Invite last Saturday, setting 34 personal bests for both the women and men. The full team will compete again at the SCIAC Championships on April 26-27 at Occidental College.
Lacrosse went 1-1 this week with an 11-9 home loss to Chapman last Wednesday and an 11-7 victory at Whittier on Saturday. Senior attacker Rachel Darby ‘13 scored her 100th career goal on Saturday against Whittier. CMS is 7-9 overall and in fifth place in SCIAC at 3-6.
