Toy Drive for Local Foster Children
Posted: November 18, 2014
Over 60,000 California children find themselves living in foster care at any given time, many of which have entered with little to no possessions. With the help of nonprofit foster organization partners, the Sleep Train Foster Kids program takes in donations and disperses them to those children most in need throughout California.
Scripps College Staff Council is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Sleep Train in collection of unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
Participation is completely voluntary. Donations of new toys can be dropped off at the following locations: Tiernan Field House, the Dean of Students Office and the Malott Commons. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to one of these facilities by December 11.
The Staff Council would like to thank you in advance for your support in this philanthropic event. For more information regarding Sleep Train and their work with foster children, click here.
