No matter what your next steps are you’re going to need a resume. Internship? Check. Job search? Yep. Grad school or fellowships? Yes and ma’am. To kick-start your search and give you the skills to put your best foot forward, CP&R is excited to bring you Resumania!

Resumania!  kicks off with the week of November 11 with Resumes al fresco during Scripps tea, our career consultants ready and eager to help you during CP&R drop-in hours (M-F, 10am-4pm), and extra outreach tables in the Student Union as indicated below.  Bring your resume by for a critique, or just stop in to get some quick tips.

Students who submit their resume by midnight on Sunday, December 1 will have their resume reviewed by a CP&R team member and will receive personalized feedback and tips for improvement. More excitingly, every participant will be entered into a raffle for many prizes including: 1 padfolio raffled for first years, sophomores, and juniors, and our grand prize raffle of certificate for 10 free Motley Drinks. Seniors, we know many of you have important, full-time job and grad school interviews coming up. All seniors who participate in Resumania! will receive a full-size, professional Scripps padfolio to finish off your interview outfit.

Important note for seniors: If you are searching for a job after graduation, participating in Resumania! is your key to getting into the 2014 Scripps College Resume Book. (See the 2013 Resume Book.) This book will be shared widely with Scripps alumnae, families, and recruiters and you must participate in Resumania! to get your resume into the Resume Book. We’ll follow up with you after the Resumania! deadline with more info and just a few more steps you’ll need to take to secure your spot in the book.

To participate in Resumania!, follow these steps after updating your resume:

  1. Log in to ClaremontConnect using your 8-digit student ID and password.
  2. Click “My Documents.”
  3. Select “Add new” and choose the appropriate file from your computer to submit.
  4. Click “Opt-in Resume Collect,” then “Select Resume Collect” under options for your resume.
  5. Under “Label” name your resume and from the drop-down menu select “2014 Resumania!”
  6. Click submit; you’re done!

Remember, resumes are due by midnight on Sunday, December 1! Join Resumania! and get one step closer to your post-graduation plans.
