Haiyan Benefit Concert: “Remember, Rebuild and Sustain”
Posted: February 17, 2014
To the members of the Scripps College community,
We want to give thanks to those who performed, attended, and supported the Haiyan/Yolanda benefit gala, “Remember, Rebuild, Sustain: Walang Iwanan” on Sunday, February 2, 2014. If you were unable to attend the event due to the Superbowl or other schedule conflicts, we’d like to invite you to give a donation to Diana Fortelny, the administrative assistant in the Music Department in the Scripps Performing Arts Center. We have raised over $3,200 to date and will be giving the final amount to Gawad Kalinga USA next Wednesday, Feb. 19th during Scripps Tea. In case of rain, the tea and presentation will be held indoors in one of the dining areas. Please consider giving to people in the Philippines who continue to need our support in rebuilding their homes, their schools, their hospitals, and their lives. Checks should be made payable to Gawad Kalinga USA. For more information on Gawad Kalinga USA, please click here.
