2014 Claremont-UC Undergraduate Research Conference on the European Union
Posted: April 11, 2014
The European Union Center of California at Scripps College is pleased to host the 2014 Claremont-UC Undergraduate Research Conference on the European Union, which will take place April 10-11 on the Scripps College campus.
The primary purpose of this conference is to enhance undergraduate training in and knowledge of the European Union and US-European relations. In addition, the aim of the conference is to allow students with expertise in different areas to interact with each other as well as with faculty, foster intercampus cooperation, and recognize the excellent work achieved by students. Envisioned as an intercampus undergraduate seminar, the participating campuses simultaneously offer courses on the issues relevant in Europe today, integrating the conference with the student’s curriculum to encourage student initiated research and presentations. Having completed individual projects, students from each participating institution and faculty panel discussants will gather for an interactive conference focusing on European issues and student research. Students will present and discuss their research in a panel format, each panel being composed of three to five students. Each presentation will be followed by questions and a discussion moderated by a faculty discussant.
We are glad to share the updated schedule for your reference. Panel session and Movie Screening information is included in the attached file.
We would be delighted if you join us for this conference.
