Graduate Accounts and Email – Dates accounts will be disabled

To Scripps May 2019 Graduates:

Essential expiration dates related to your Outlook, Office 365, Network, Trend-Micro, Box@Scripps accounts:

  • Scripps College Network accounts (Sakai, Portal, WiFi, Box@Scripps, WorkDay) will be disabled on July 31, 2019
  • Box@Scripps account will be disabled on July 31, 2019
  • Trend-Micro account will expire on July 31, 2019
  • Office 365 account will expire on December 1, 2019
  • Scripps College Email accounts will be disabled on December 1, 2019

If you are working on campus during the summer, please contact IT to extend your account.

Prior to graduation: While you are still on the Scripps College campus:

  1. Please back up your email.  Scripps email account is disabled December 1, 2019 – YOUR EMAIL WILL BE DELETED!
  2. Copy your data from your Home Drive (Z Drive) to a personal storage option (i.e. external hard drive, Box, iCloud Drive, Drop Box, Etc.).
  3. Copy your Office 365 documents & data to your personal storage.
  4. Migrate your Box@Scripps data to a personal Box account on or before July 31, 2019.
  5. Uninstall your Trend-Micro virus scan software – Instructions provided below.
  6. Course work uploaded to Sakai will need to be migrated to your personal storage.
  7. Advise your contacts of your new personal email.


How do I get my transcript after I graduate?

When you need an official transcript, go to this public-access site: .  Any questions email

Can I migrate my data over to a Box personal account?

Yes, you may sign up for the individual Box account which is free.

Do I have to pay for a personal Box account?

No, there are no costs, it’s free fo up to 10GB

Can I migrate my data to an external hard drive of my own?

Yes, you may save your personal data to an external hard drive.

Will I have access to my old documents in Sakai when I graduate?

No, you must copy any data you would like to save to your personal storage.

What happens to my Office 365 applications once I graduate?

When your Office 365 Education plan expires the Office applications enter a reduced-functionality mode, which means that you can view documents, but you cannot edit or create new documents.  Online services associated with the school email address, for example Office Online and OneDrive, will no longer work.  You may migrate your files to Office 365 Personal.
