Voluntary Termination

Voluntary termination results when an employee voluntarily resigns his or her employment at Scripps College.

In addition to circumstances in which an employee leaves the employment of the College to, for example, take another job, they also will voluntarily terminate their employment with Scripps if they:

  • Fail to report for work for three consecutively scheduled workdays without notice to, or approval by, their supervisor, or
  • Fail to return to work following an approved leave of absence.

Immediately upon voluntary termination, employees must return all College-owned property, including vehicles, keys, uniforms, identification badges, and credit cards.   At the exit interview, you will have an opportunity to comment on your employment at Scripps College.
