Time Off for Voting

Date Updated: May 9th, 2012

All employees are eligible to take time off to vote if they do not have sufficient time, outside of working hours, to vote at a statewide election.  Employees shall schedule such time off to vote either at the beginning or end of their work shift, whichever allows more free time for voting and less for loss of work, unless otherwise agreed with their supervisor.  Employees must notify their supervisor at least 2 working days’ prior to the election that they will require time off to vote and schedule such time off with their supervisors.  Scripps College will pay for up to 2 hours of time off to vote.
