Arthur Vining Davis Library Internship
Ella Strong Denison Library at Scripps College has distinctive resources of rare books, manuscripts, and archives to disseminate to the wider scholarly world. The Student Summer Library Internship supported by the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations is an academic fellowship. It will make it possible for a Scripps College student to conduct research in the library’s collections of primary source materials from June-August 2019. Candidates will need to demonstrate evidence of faculty member endorsement of their project. A component of the research project may be a preliminary digital project to bring the research materials to the attention of a wider audience. It is expected that the intern will write a paper of between four and five pages and present on the project in a public forum during the 2019 Fall Semester.
• The amount of the internship will be $4,000 for the summer’s work.
• Awarded on a competitive basis.
• Available to currently enrolled Scripps College students only.
