NEDA Awareness Week
The Tiernan Field House Health and Wellness Program will be helping support NEDA Awareness Week efforts from February 22nd through February 27th. NEDA Awareness week seeks to put a spotlight on the seriousness of eating disorders and improve public understanding of the causes, triggers and treatments. Through NEDA Awareness Week, we hope to increase awareness and access to resources, and encourage early detection and intervention, which can improve the likelihood of full recovery for millions.
There will be 7C events all week, including a talk by Brian Cuban, an eating disorder survivor at the Athenaeum, and a Self-Care Festival on Bowling Green Lawn. The festival will include outreach and education by eating disorder treatment centers, yoga classes, massages, a selfie photo booth, and more. In addition, the Tiernan Field House student staff will be educating their peers on self-care techniques such as trigger point therapy and foam rolling massage. The festival will be held from 11-2pm on Wednesday, February 25th. We hope to see you there!
