Scripps College Commitment to Health and Wellness

Scripps College believes in a comprehensive, holistic approach to promoting the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of students. All Health and Wellness programs are developed and implemented around the eight dimensions of wellness including; physical, emotional, social, financial, occupational, environmental, spiritual, and intellectual wellness. Scripps works to create a campus community that focuses on campus-wide prevention and intervention strategies to improve the overall health and wellbeing of students. By utilizing evidence based models, Scripps is actively working to create an environment where students may learn and grow both academically and emotionally so that they may thrive!

Scripps College is a JED Campus School

The Jed Foundation (JED) is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to addressing young adult mental health. JED works to prevent suicide at schools throughout the country by working with campus leaders and professionals to create campus-wide prevention and intervention strategies and advises on best-practice mental health policies, program and services. The Tiernan Field House strives to provide high-quality services, equipment, and programming in a safe and enjoyable environment. The student-centered staff promotes a broad variety of fitness, health, and wellness educational activities to meet the needs of the diverse population of the Scripps community. Consortium Resources

The Claremont University Consortium (CUC) provides several health and wellness programs for all students of The Claremont Colleges.
