Case Management for Students of Concern

The Office of Case Management was established at Scripps College in 2015, to better serve the needs of the campus community. Case managers collaborate and consult with students, parents, faculty, staff, and other campus resources to best address the diverse needs of each student. We also provide information that may help in recognizing and responding to individuals in distress and making appropriate referrals.

Embedded within the notions of diversity and inclusion is a commitment to an educational environment where all students are enabled to thrive academically and personally. To that end, the College offers the following resources

for students who are experiencing significant difficulties:

  • Intervention
  • Advocacy
  • Resources
  • Referrals
  • Follow-up services

Case managers support students who are:

  • Struggling to navigate the college system
  • Have current or emerging mental or physical health issues
  • Experiencing issues adjusting to academic and social life.

Case managers coordinate student services and provide referrals to the appropriate resources at Scripps College, the Claremont University Consortium, and the regional community. In addition to supporting students, case managers are also available to consult with faculty, staff, parents, and concerned others any time they are worried about a student’s behavior.
