The Scripps College list of approved SAGE – Study Abroad and Global Education programs may change in response to students' interests and feedback, faculty, and administrative evaluations as well as changing world events. Study abroad is not without risks and students are advised to carefully choose their study site.

The Scripps Committee on Study Abroad (COSA) has approved the following programs in Austria for our students.

Vienna

Academic Program

Instruction consists of lectures and seminars; courses taught primarily in English. Internships arranged. On-site orientation and fieldtrips included.

  • Fields of study: German language, Europeans Business, Economics, and Politics, Society and Self, The Arts
  • Eligibility: 9.0 cumulative GPA; one year of college-level German. Depending on German proficiency students may enroll in the regular university.
  • Number of program participants: 100

Living Arrangements

Students live in private homes and apartments. Students prepare their own meals.

Term Dates

  • Fall: late August to late December
  • Spring: early January to mid-May
