Welcome our new IT team member, Zailyn!

Dear members of the Scripps community,
Please join us in welcoming Zailyn Tamayo, our new Residential Networking / User Support Specialist for the Information Technology Department. Zailyn started in April and her office is located in Frankel Hall, Room 91, where she is in close vicinity to support students with their technical issues. In her role, she will also be part of the User Support Team, assisting faculty and staff with their computing needs.
Zailyn recently earned her Master of Science degree in Computer Science; she believes that education is of utmost importance and feels fortunate to be a part of an environment that shares this value. We are excited to have Zailyn as a team member and knew she would be a good fit in the IT department, where daily she demonstrates her passion for helping people, learning new things and problem solving.
Information Zailyn would like to share about herself:
- Her name is pronounced “Sigh-lean”
- Her interests include: music, video games, reading, Philosophy and technology
- She has a passion for helping, learning, cooking and traveling
- Her future goal is to travel more
- She lives in Claremont with her dog Logan
Zailyn is looking forward to the start of the academic year to meet the incoming class along with the rest of the Scripps College community.
