QRC Ally Training Fall 2018
Posted: September 7, 2018
Good afternoon Claremont College community members.
The Queer Resource Center (QRC) is happy to announce Ally Training dates for the fall semester. There will be four trainings at rotating campuses specific to 7C students, faculty, and staff.
In this training, attendees will explore foundational topics of sexuality, sex, and gender, the coming out process for LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual/agender) college students, and learn ways to enact allyship for themselves and others. New to Faculty and Staff trainings this academic year will include a panel of student narratives and a discussion on the current state of higher education for LGBTQIA+ students.
If you would like to attend a training, please submit your information by clicking on the RSVP link, which can also be found in the attached PDF.
Come out and learn ways to enact allyship and earn a Claremont College LGBTQIA+ Ally Certificate. If you have any questions or access needs, please send them my way as I’m happy to assist.
