On Monday, October 28, Scripps College joins universities across the nation in a live discussion with Sheryl Sandberg, author of “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead.” The talk will be streamed in the Humanities Auditorium at 4:00pm.

According to Miriam Zoll, author of memoir “Cracked Open,” the odds of becoming parents through reproductive medicine are far less than the current generation has been led to believe. And she knows the problem first-hand, having delayed motherhood until age 40. Zoll discusses the ethics of new reproductive opportunities at Scripps College on Tuesday, October 29 at 4:15 pm in the Hampton Room.

Matt Garcia talks about the Food Justice Movement

For Arizona State University professor Matt Garcia, the United Farm Workers’ (UFW) grape boycott in 1962 is about more than worker’s rights – it’s the beginning of the food justice movement. Garcia talks about these important topics at Scripps College on Thursday, October 24 as part of the Scripps Public Events and Community Programming lecture series Racism and Community, sponsored by the Alexa Fullerton Hampton Fund.
