CMS Celebrates Scripps Seniors

Scripps Seniors Madi Shove and Annie Belanger were honored on October 13for their contributions to CMS Soccer on the team’s Senior Day. Both women have competed for CMS since their first year at Scripps.
Annie, a midfielder, was given the Rookie of the Year award by her teammates in 2009. She has played in all of the team’s matches since coming to Scripps, and has started many of them. She has scored two goals this season, one against Occidental on October 10th and one against La Verne on September 19; she has three other career goals. Annie was selected for the first team All-SCIAC last season.
Madi is a two-sport student-athlete and a team captain for both the CMS lacrosse and soccer teams. Like Annie, she was a first team All-SCIAC selection for soccer last season, and is a three-time first team All-SCIAC selection for lacrosse. As a forward for the soccer team, she has 22 career goals, with nine goals this season, and nine career assists. For her outstanding accomplishments and leadership, Madi received the Scripps Athlete of the Year Award for 2011-2012, which was also presented to her on Saturday by Dean Rebecca Lee.
The Athenas’ next home game will be against Chapman on October 20th at 11:00AM.
