Calling all First-Years and Seniors: National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
Posted: April 2, 2018
If you are a first-year or senior student at Scripps, you are eligible to provide feedback in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). Currently, NSSE is the most nationally-recognized instrument for collecting, measuring, and comparing information that focuses on research that has consistently shown students’ intellectual and social development.
You should have received an email message from President Tiedens and NSSE inviting you to participate in the survey on Monday, April 2nd. That email message contains a customized web link that is unique to you—click on that link and it will take you to the online survey. Filling out the questionnaire takes about 15 minutes. You will receive email reminders with your personalized survey link on April 10th, April 26th, and May 3rd, so if you haven’t already responded, keep your eye out for those messages.
Scripps has participated in NSSE over the last decade and the results are shared with administrators and trustees. The following webpage has answers to frequently asked questions that students have about participating in NSSE: http://nsse.iub.edu/faq/sfaq.cfm. For more information, you can explore the NSSE website at http://nsse.iub.edu/
If you have any questions about NSSE at Scripps, please contact the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research Director, Junelyn Peeples at JPeeples@ScrippsCollege.edu.
Thank you again for your participation in this important survey feedback!
