REMINDER: Calling all First-Year and Senior Scripps Students!

Posted: March 8, 2016

Your opinions are important! The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) queries students about their participation in activities that support the educational goals of the College. It is currently the most nationally recognized instrument for collecting, measuring, and comparing information pertaining to student activities and their support of academic endeavors. In particular, NSSE focuses on activities that research has consistently shown support students’ intellectual and social development.

If you are a first-year or senior student at Scripps, you are eligible to participate in this survey. You should have received an email message on March 7 from Interim President Amy Marcus-Newhall inviting you to participate in this year’s NSSE. That email message contains a customized web link that is unique to you—click on that link, and it will take you to the survey. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. Your participation is completely voluntary.

If you cannot locate that email message from March 7, there will be reminder email messages with the link sent out to first-year and senior students in the coming weeks, so keep your eye out for those.

Scripps has participated in NSSE over the last decade, and the results are shared with administrators and trustees. Visit the NSSE site for FAQ. FMI: explore the NSSE website.

If you have any questions about NSSE at Scripps, please contact the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research Director, Junelyn Peeples at JPeeples@ScrippsCollege.edu.

Thank you again for your participation in this important survey feedback!
