With the success of the water conservation project on Platt Boulevard last summer, the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the Board of Trustee has approved several lawn removal projects on campus to support for water conservation in California and sustainability. For each project, lawn will be removed, irrigation will be modified to a low water use system and drought tolerant plants will be planted.

With the Office 365/Outlook go live scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2015, I am writing to let you know some specific details and dates of the conversion plan for email and calendar. In most cases, NO ACTION IS NEEDED on your part. While your email, calendar, tasks, and contact information is moving from GroupWise to Office365/Outlook, GroupWise will still be available to you as a view-only reference until June 30, 2015.

The final construction access plan for NEW Hall will be in place on Friday, March 13 at 8:00 a.m. Starting at 406 Platt Avenue, pedestrians will be redirected to travel on the north side of Platt Avenue towards the east to the intersection of Mills Avenue before being able to cross back over. A temporary crosswalk has been provided.

Scripps College along with the other Claremont Colleges that currently share the Workforce EmpCenter time and attendance system will be implementing Ultipro Ultimate Time and Attendance system. The current EmpCenter system has issues with integrating data resulting in difficulties for administrators and supervisors spending an inordinate amount of time on investigating and resolving problems.

We have become aware of suspicious emails being sent to John Hancock participants as part of a phishing scam. John Hancock did not send these emails. They have taken steps to have the fake websites disabled and their investigation is ongoing. At no time will John Hancock ever request personal, financial, or password information through unsolicited emails.
