Our new Office365/Outlook email system is just about ready to go, and with the launch fast approaching, I’m writing today about our training programs and to firm up the launch date.
Office 365/Outlook Go Live date: March 30th. The date moved up slightly to accommodate the additional time it has taken to finish the desktop upgrade that began in late 2014. Accounts will be distributed soon and/or as part of the training sessions.
Beginning Monday March 9th, we’re kicking off three weeks of instructor-led training with over 40 in-person (classroom) hands on sessions where staff, faculty, and students can come and learn about the new Office 365/Outlook system. This training will be taught by a Microsoft instructor with another person on-hand to assist with setup of personal devices such as iPhone, iPads, Android phone/tablets, etc.
Training sessions will be held from March 9th to March 27th with varying days and times. We have arranged for several training sessions based on levels and operating system. There will be a limit to the class size for each session so please sign up early. We acknowledge that Spring Break will occur during one week of these training sessions and ask that anyone who will be on campus during Spring Break to please sign up for that week’s sessions if possible. The following are the different training sessions:

In addition to the in-person training sessions, on-line training continues to be available through Lynda.com. The College has licensed Lynda Campus as our online training product for Office 365/Outlook and a host of other products. Lynda.com provides a vast online library of instructional videos covering the latest software, creative, and business skills. Taught by accomplished teachers and recognized industry experts, Lynda.com is a high-quality resource for students, faculty, and staff looking to develop skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, project management, social media, and a wide range of other topics.
